I am extremely naive and stupid. How did I not know that heterosexual couples are not eligible for civil partnerships? *slaps self* How and oww?! I don't know how I managed to miss that particular detail for so long. *kicks self*

Why? What? Huh?
There must be a less discriminatory way of giving people rights. At the risk of discriminating against those who hold religious views, why does religion need to be involved? Surely there would be equality if everyone were eligible for a secular legal union and if those who wish to place religious value on the status of their relationship could do so in a separate non-legal ceremony. I don't see why religious and bigoted traditions should remain essential to the fabric of our society - a society that claims, by and large, to be against discrimination. Does that make sense or seem remotely fair? I'm a tad angry and fear that I'm babbling like a bile-gargling fool.

Hello. My Mum will be here soon but I'll try to reply to emails and stuff later.
My computer hard drive was screwed and I lost my music (I don't care about that) but also my photos. I have uploaded most photos onto the internet and I've found some on a USB stick. BUT I CANNOT FIND MY OKINAWA PHOTOS. I had picasa on my computer before it died. I was under the impression that picasa would back everything up for me somehow. I don't understand and I'm all sad :-(. Does anyone else use picasa?
In other news, work. There must be a lot of work done this weekend despite my Mum being here. Monday will be great and productive and all will be fine.

It'll be my birthday at the end of term - Friday, 13 March. I will be 23. YAY! I intend to have a party of some nature at a pub in central Oxford. I will probably create a FB group very soon but let me know who's around Oxford by commenting on here. It will save me lots of (some ((very little, but please do it anyway)) time.
